Yellotec, the proud African Channel Partner of Teledyne FLIR, is excited to announce four new models in the X-series of science-grade thermal cameras.

Designed for research and development (R&D) applications, these cameras cater to both mid-wave infrared (MWIR) and longwave infrared (LWIR) spectrums. The new models, the X6980-HS high-speed series and the X8580-HS high-resolution series, enhance the FLIR X-Series’ performance capabilities.

The high-speed (HS) models feature 10GigE and CoaXPress (CXP) 2.1 interfaces for over an hour of rapid image streaming and data transfer. Additionally, they offer on-camera recording with a removable NVMe SSD, ensuring lossless recording of critical thermal events. A four-terabyte (TB) high-speed SSD is standard on all X-Series HS cameras, enabling hours of thermal data recording without frame drops.

Jerry Beeney, Business Development Director at FLIR, stated, “The FLIR X-series science thermal cameras have set the industry benchmark for applications requiring high-speed or high-resolution thermal data capture. With the new X-series HS infrared cameras, operators can benefit from lossless onboard recording, high-speed streaming, and proprietary trigger and synchronization for accurate recording.”

When used with FLIR Research Studio software, the X-series HS infrared cameras allow for merging data sets and synchronizing multiple sensors, including other FLIR A-series, X-series, and T-series cameras, for comprehensive analyses and improved decision-making.

Standardizing on the FLIR platform offers cost savings and interchangeability for various applications, including electronic board-level design and testing, defence research, and commercial and academic use.

Stay ahead in your field with the new X-Series high performance infrared cameras from Teledyne FLIR, available through Yellotec.
